Luxury Clive Christian Kitchen featured on HGTV's "Top 10 Amazing Kitchens" | Hungeling Design | Luxury Kitchen Designer

Tennessee Traditional

This Southern home on the Tennessee River is a study in luxury living. The homeowners wanted a kitchen that would be in keeping with the beauty and grand scale of the house. The Regency range of cabinetry by Clive Christian was the answer. The columns, pilasters, and pediment give classical styling to this space while the appliances by Sub Zero and Wolf are fully integrated and concealed into the warm custom-stained French Oak.

Given the generous size of the kitchen, the space needed to be careful divided into individual work zones. This is accomplished by creating two islands with distinct functions.  The main island features a prep sink and pull-out trash, while the secondary island encourages guests to visit without getting in the cook’s way. The main sink under the window serves as the principal clean-up area with two dishwashers. Pull-out pilasters next to the sink even conceal the dishtowels. Finally, a small peninsula veers toward the family room to house refrigerator drawers, an ice maker and bar sink for guest’s beverages.

This kitchen was recently featured on an HGTV special, called Top Ten Amazing Kitchens.” The producers scoured the country looking for the best representation of luxury kitchens, but it was up to America to vote on their favorites. When the show finally aired, it was revealed that the #2 favorite was this gracious kitchen in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
