Log Cabin Retreat
When the homeowners decided to build a vacation home in the mountains of North Carolina, they wanted to reflect the rustic nature of their surroundings while still capturing the luxury of their main residence. A country English kitchen by Clive Christian was the solution. The barley twist pilasters and chunky turned legs of the British bespoke cabinetry maker fit the bill. The country essence was further achieved by using a traditional English spindle door style for the wall cabinets, along with an old fashioned mantle above the range. The Antique Green painted island features an Iroko chopping block, along with a dropped marble area for baking tasks. Fully integrated Sub Zero refrigeration, a concealed trash compactor, dishwasher, and warming drawer help to keep this kitchen beautiful and functional.
