A Clive Christian luxury kitchen updates a 1979 English-style manor home in Georgia | Hungeling Design | Luxury Kitchen Designer

An English Manor

This residence was a fine manor home set high in the hills overlooking the North Georgia mountains.  The 1979 kitchen was very out of step with the gracious size of the home. The original room layout had a peninsula dividing the space into a kitchen on one side with the breakfast table on the other. When the suggestion was made to relocate the breakfast table to the adjoining under-used sunroom, the homeowners suddenly saw the potential of their space.   The removal of the cabinetry peninsula allowed for the kitchen to become twice the size and made room for a long and beautiful island.

The delicate details of the Clive Christian cabinetry were the key to making this small kitchen feel grand.  A beautiful dresser piece was added at the far end of the room for visual impact and additional storage.  Finally, state of the art Wolf and Sub Zero appliances brought this kitchen into the new century.

This kitchen was featured in Flavors magazine, “A New Kitchen to Serve Two or Two Hundred,” Winter 2004.
